Mr. Kim JunPyo, Deputy Chief of Mission / Consul General of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia paid a courtesy visit to OCM on Friday, 6 October 2017. He was accompanied by Ms. Cheon Hyo Jeong, Second Secretary, of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Malaysia. They were welcomed by Dato’ Low Beng Choo (Secretary General of OCM).

Mr. Kim conveyed the message from the Government of the Republic of Korea on its readiness to host the XXIII Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. He congratulates Mr. Julian Yee, who had qualified to compete in the Figure Skating Men’s Short Programme recently.

The Government of the Republic of Korea will be sending the official invitations to the Head of State and the Prime Minister of Malaysia to attend the Opening Ceremony of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games.

On a different note, Mr. Kim congratulates Malaysia for successfully hosted the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017 in last August and he was impressed with the commitment of Malaysia in developing the winter sports, where Ice Hockey and Ice Skating were included in the sports programs of the SEA Games for the first time in history.
