Beng Heng was born on 25th July 1974 and was a member of Malaysian National Team from 1996 to 2006. He contributed a gold medal in the 1998 Commonwealth Games held in Kuala Lumpur in the Men’s Double event with Kenny Ang. He won 2 gold and 3 silver medals when Malaysia hosting the SEA Games in 2001. He continued his outstanding performance by winning the Team Gold in World Tenpin Team Cup 2003 held in Denmark. He also represented Malaysia at the SEA Games 2005 and won 1 gold and a silver medal. At the Men’s World Championship 2006 held in Busan, he won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal. He continued with his excellent performance by winning the Gold medal in Men’s Trio event at 2006 Asian Games held in Doha. After his retirement as an athlete, he completed a coaching course and has been one of the national coaches since 2007. He has contributed his experience thus helping Malaysia to win many titles and medals such as 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals in the 2010 Asian Games held in Guangzhou, 5 golds, 3 silvers and 6 bronzes medals in the 2011 SEA Games held in Jakarta and 5 golds,1 silver and 4 bronzes in the 2015 SEA Games held in Singapore
