Mr. Chung Kam Weng was born in 1934 and represented Malaya in Weightlifting at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, held in Cardiff, Wales, where he won a silver medal in the 60 Kg category. In 1966, at the British and Commonwealth Games held in Kingston, Jamaica, he won a gold medal in featherweight wearing the red dragon of Wales. He represented the Welsh again in 1970, finishing just out of the medals in fourth place. He also competed at two Olympic Games namely 1960 Olympic Games Rome where he was placed 11 and 1964 Olympic Games Tokyo and was placed 10.
