Y. Bhg. Datuk P. Krishnasamy graduated as a Quantity Surveyor from Curtain University, Perth, Western Australia. He began his professional career working for a Developer in 1976 before leaving to form his own Profession Project Management Firm. He enjoys cricket and golf and was a former Deputy President of the Malaysian Cricket Association from 2005 untill 2008 and served as its President from 2011 to 2012. He was also the President of Asian Cricket Council from 2007 untill 2008. In 2003, as Deputy President of the Malaysian Cricket Association, Datuk Krishnasamy built the 1st Malaysia Cricket Academy. The Academy was developed on recreational land given by Island and Peninsular Malaysia Berhad and located in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong in Selangor.

This world class facility with floodlights hosted a number of International Tournaments including The Under 19 Cricket World Cup, The Under 16 Asia Cup, The Under 19 Asia Cup and The Asian Cricket Council Trophy.
