Kenny Ang was born on 3rd October 1953 and was a member of Malaysian National Bowling Team from 1986 until 2001. He was the National Champion for the year 1987, 1996 and 1999. He is one of the team member that won a gold medal for the team event at the 15th SEA Games 1989 held in Kuala Lumpur. He continued with his success, by winning the silver medal for team event at the 17th SEA Games 1993 held in Singapore. At the 1998 Commonwealth Games held in Kuala Lumpur, he made a magnificent performance by winning two gold medals in the men’s single event and the double event with his partner Beng Heng. He continued to make the nation proud by winning 1 gold and 2 silver medals at the 20th SEA Games held in Brunei. He also won the China, Kuala Lumpur and Qatar International Open in 1995 and 1996. In 2001, he was placed fourth at the World Bowling Masters held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
